Lois & Clark
[20 hours. If he had gone on his own, he could have made it to Sydney in a few minutes, but just because Superman could do it didn't mean that Clark Kent could. Sure, it might be a little frustrating, but the flight gave him some time to look over his notes so it wasn't a total waste of time. Then again, stories had been coming in hot and fast, and it made for a few late nights, for himself, Lois, and everyone else at The Planet. Some sleep wouldn't hurt.]

She'd been bored almost immediately and there was only so many times one could honestly be expected to watch the latest last season rom-com before wanting to gouge one's own eyes out. So what was an intrepid reporter to do? Well...sit an be bored.
At least until the turbulence started, for some odd reason while others were unsettled it rocked her like a baby in a crib. She sighed softly as her lids dropped and her head rolled to the side, thick wave of soft black hair spilling across the arm and shoulder of the man sitting next to her.]
Wake [yawn] me when, [yawn] we reach.....

[He didn't mind being her pillow for a while. She'd been working as hard as everyone else, if not harder. She's earned some much-needed sleep, and he was willing to bet his shoulder as a lot more comfortable than the arm rest. He was tempted to join her, and as the hours rolled on, that temptation only got stronger, and, well, there are some fights you just can't win no matter how strong you are. Soon enough he was drifting off too, settling back in his seat and letting sleep take him.]

She'd been sleeping soundly, complacently, without interruption or restraint. She never did that. Though now that she was awake she should probably ease back into a recline against her seat and leave him be. If only her body wasn't sure sure that she was entirely more comfortable like this. And after all he was dozing so he couldn't even hold it against her.
Fine, she decided. She would just let her eyes rest a little while longer. That's all, just close her eyes an relax. Of course she drifted off again, her cheek on his shoulder, crown of her head tucked under his chin and jaw.]

[It just felt so comfortable and natural to him, even in his sleep. It just felt right, even though he'll probably be apologizing for it when he wakes up.]

Hey Smallville we're... [She turned and saw the man, still looking peacefully asleep next to her and the rumpled shoulder of his suit which had been her pillow. She smiled, just a curl at the edges of her lips and a ghost of fingertips traced across the line of his jaw. He looked so peaceful, handsome even, though she might not say that out loud. Still it was time to go, her hand move to his shoulder and she softly jogged it.]
Come on Clark, we landed.

[He shifts, yawning and leaning forward in his chair while a hand comes up to wipe his tired eyes.]
Mmm ... already?
[He glanced down at his watch, because of course Clark Kent still wears a watch in the age of the cell phone. The look said it all.]
Guess I was more tired than I thought.
